Use the quadratic equation: you get values of x=2/5 and x=-3

4 0

Step-by-step explanation:

The easiest way to solve this (in my opinion) is to use the Pythagorean theorem \frac{-b+-\sqrt{b^2-4(a)(c)} }{2a}

In this case, 5 is a, with the highest power, 13 is b, with the second highest power, and -6 is c, with a 0 power.

Or, looking at this equation ax^2+bx+c we can gain that knowledge as well.

So let's plug these values in and solve!

\frac{-b+-\sqrt{b^2-4(a)(c)} }{2a} = \frac{-13+-\sqrt{13^2-4(5)(-6)} }{2(5)}\\=\frac{-13+-\sqrt{169+120} }{10}=\frac{-13+-\sqrt{289} }{10}=\frac{-13+-17 }{10}

Now we simplify this into two different answers, one when we add, and one when we subtract:

add:\frac{-13+17 }{10}=\frac{4}{10}=\frac{2}{5}\\subtract:\frac{-13-17 }{10}=\frac{-30 }{10}=-3

So, assuming the question asked to solve for x (which I'm assuming it did), our answers are x = -3 and \frac{2}{5}

Answer:

x = -3

x = \frac{2}{5}

If polygon A is a parallelogram, and polygon B is a rectangle, which of the
Daniel [21]

Answer:

The answer is C

Step-by-step explanation:

* Lets talk about some facts in parallelograms and rectangles

- Rectangle is a parallelogram with right angles

- Supplementary angles is two angles their sum is 180°

- The opposite angles in the rectangle are equal and supplementary

- A circle can circumscribe a quadrilateral if the opposite angles of

 the quadrilateral are supplementary

- In the parallelograms opposite angles are equal

- The circle can circumscribe a rectangle because its opposite

 angles are supplementary

- The circle can't circumscribe a parallelogram because its opposite

 angles are not supplementary they are equal

* Lets solve the problem

- Polygon A is a parallelogram

- Polygon B is a rectangle (parallelogram with right angles)

∵ The circle can't circumscribe a parallelogram because its opposite

  angles are not supplementary

∴ Polygon A can't circumscribed by a circle

∵ Polygon B is a rectangle its opposite angles are equal the measure

  of  each one is 90°

∴ Its opposite angles are supplementary

∴ Polygon B can circumscribed by a circle

∵ The rectangle is a parallelogram with right angles

∴ Polygon B represents the only parallelogram that a circle can

  circumscribed because opposite angles are supplementary

* The answer is C

Write an equation for the line in point-slope form and then convert it to standard form. through (2, 3) and (3,5)
poizon [28]

Answer:

equation of the line: 2x - y = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Given coordinates: (2, 3) and (3,5)

find slope of the equation:

  • \frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}

using the formula:

→ \frac{5-3}{3-2}

→ 2\\ .............this is slope, also refereed as (m) in short form.

using the equation formula:

  • y - y1 = m ( x - x1 )

using the formula:

→ y - 3 = 2 ( x - 2 )

→ y - 3 = 2x - 4

→ y = 2x -4 +3

→ y = 2x - 1

→ -2x + y = -1

→ (-2x + y)/-1 = -1 /-1             [ divide both sides by -1 ]

→ 2x - y = 1  .......final answer in standard form where ( Ax + By = C ) where "A" should be positive and "C" constant on the right hand side.

Complete this shape so that it is symmetrical about the reflection line
Drupady [299]

A balanced and proportionate likeness observed in two sides of an item is characterized as symmetry. The shape can be completed as shown below.

<h3>What is symmetry?</h3>

A balanced and proportionate likeness observed in two sides of an item is characterized as symmetry. It signifies that one side is a mirror image of the other. The line of symmetry is the imaginary line or axis along which you can fold a figure to produce the symmetrical halves.

The shape can be completed as shown below, so that the complete shape is symmetrical about the given axis.

You went to the store for snacks. You purchased 2 bags of chips for $0.75 each, a bottle of juice for $1.09, a donut for $0.68,
Anuta_ua [19.1K]

Answer:

So add all the numbers together  0.75 + 0.75 = $1.50

Then $1.50 + $1.09 = $2.59

Next $2.59 + $0.68 = $3.27

Also $3.27 + $0.07 + $0.80 = $4.14

You have $4.14 that you spent. The cashier should give you back $5.86.

So yes, you gave the cashier enough money and you got back money too.
