metaphor: Jessie has a heart of gold

simile: the pool is as cold as ice

personification: the angry clouds marched across the sky

hyperbole: im so hungry i could eat a horse

metaphor- she’s a snake. she’s a peach

simile- he was tall and built like a bear. she towered over me like a skyscraper

personification- the kettle screamed, announcing that my water was boiling. the book flapped it’s pages in the wind.

hyperbole- The concert hall was packed, there must’ve been a million people in there. The sun beat down on my back as i sweat buckets upon buckets
