Explanation:

During the period of Prohibition known as the Progressive Era, the USA started an explosion of economic and social reforms. Many were motivated by conservative religious beliefs that had their roots on moral regulations, where the Prohibition was the most ambitious of them. And because of its own nature, end the production and consumption of alcoholic beverages, had its imminent colossal failure. People did not suddenly stop drinking, they developed different illegal ways of maintaining their alcoholic behavior. Not mentioning the enormous new source of income that criminals had during this period of time, gangsters as “Scarface” Al Capone had their golden age during these years.
