The 1950s era in the United States is described as “the affluent society.” What change does this term describe?
Viefleur [7K]
The 1950's era in the US being referred to as the "affluent society" represents a change in the American economy. After World War II, the American economy was booming thanks to the increased spending in developing military technology and creating the resources needed to help a post World War II Europe.

The result of this economic boom included lower unemployment rates and increased spending on material goods. A lot of this disposable income can be contributed in part to the GI Bill, which helped veterans of World War II pay for job training or pursuing a college degree. This then resulted in the development of the new middle class, which enjoyed modern luxuries like TV's and houses in the suburbs.

Why did the chinese call their country the middle class citizens?
lora16 [44]
The Chinese call their country 中國(zhong1 guo2 - lit. middle country) because this was how the government referred to their centralized power during times where China was divided into many different "countries". So this name does not only refer to geographic location (while the users believed their location to be the center of civilization), but also to political affiliation.

Which of these objects would travel the farthest distance if you gave the same push force to each. a A boulder weighing 100 kg b
Virty [35]

Answer:

The object that would travel the farthest distance if you gave the same push force to each is:

D. a tennis ball weighing 1/3 kg.

Explanation:

There are three elements to consider here: force, mass, and acceleration. The instructions let us know that the push force is supposed to be the same for each object. Now, to find each object's acceleration, we must divide the force by the mass of the object. That means the higher the mass, the lowest the number we will get as a result. The lower the mass, the higher the number for acceleration. Having that in mind, and knowing that the object with the lowest mass is the tennis ball with a third of a kilogram, we can choose letter D as the correct option.
