The Declaration of Independence is a document listing important rights to the people of the United States. It has 4 main sections and the first one (introduction) is called the preamble. The 2 middle sections includes our most important rights such as the right to “Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness”. It also states that all men are created equal. The last section proclaims the new nation’s existence. The Declaration of Independence was written by framers, or founding fathers, including Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, and a few others.
