Its basically when you arent very religious and dont consider yourself a part of any certian religion. Or if you don't feel a connection between having a religion and you're aethiest.
Secular is a descriptive word used to refer to market activities that occur over the long term. Secular can also point to specific stocks or stock sectors, unaffected by short-term trends. Secular trends are not seasonal or cyclical.
"Adam Smith" would most likely agree with this statement, since it was Smith who argued for these types of innovations in capitalism in his book "The Wealth of Nations".
