You know that you need two already to make one hexagon. So, if you multiply, or add two four times, 2+2+2+2, you would get eight.
Rotation about a point does not change any dimensions. C'D' = CD = 2.8 units.
The area of a triangle is 1/2 b/h. So what you do is you find base and height, multiply them together and whatever answer you got, you divide by 2.
Example:
A= 1/2 (b x h)
A= 1/2 (4 x 6)
A= 1/2 (24)
A= 12
