The correct answer to this open question is the following.

It is correct to say that in the period 1of 750-1900 CE, new political ideologies emerged as the world became more modern, industrial, and enlightened.

The Enlightenment impacted the development and course of revolution(s) around the world in that many brilliant thinkers and philosophers of the Enlightenment came up with novel ideas about new forms of government, citizens' rights, social contract, equality, liberty, and private property.

Philosophers like John Locke, Thomas Hobbes, Voltaire, Jean-Jaques Rosseau, and Baron de Montesquiou, were some of the brilliant men than influenced the founding fathers of the United States and the Revolutionary War, as well as the French Revolution or the Independence of México.

For instance, many ideas of the Enlightenment influenced the founding documents of the US such as the Declaration of Independence. For instance, the people's right to be free by its own nature. People born free and their liberty is sacred. Another Enlightenment idea is the power of people to be governed by the right kind of people and citizens can decide to remove them. And of course, the responsibility of the government to protect its citizens.

from “A Talk to Teachers” by James Baldwin What passes for identity in America is a series of myths about one’s heroic ancestors
mezya [45]

Answer:

Explanation:

If you are referring to "There is nothing we can do about it." then the purpose is to wake us up to an attitude that exists in what passes for education. A person with a good moral education would be horrified at the thought that nothing can be done. That a person like Governor Wallace could utter such a statement and no one is outraged.

We have to be outraged at such statements. We have to know that the very core of human dignity is being attacked when "nothing can be done."

Baldwin is also trying to point out that we think we are better than the convicts that were on the Mayflower. We think we have progressed in some way.

Baldwin thinks we have not. Not as long as we do nothing when there is one set of behaviors for one color people and one set for the blacks.

FRQ
AlladinOne [14]

Answer:

Part A:

Encoding failure: This applies to the the AP exam because if the terms are not consciously read and studied, it won’t be encoded, and it won’t be remembered. This influences failure on the exam, rather than success.

Predictive validity: Regarding the AP exam, the test is made to predict the future behaviour of the student within the course. Therefore, if the test score is high, the retention of content in the future should be higher than that of a person with a lower test score. The same can be said for the AP course or the AP practice tests. These resources are made to predict what the test score is most likely to be, if the test has predictive validity.

Distributed practice: This will influence success on the AP exam because it allows for better recall rather than recognition, so writing the portion will be more successful.

Proactive interference: This could influence failure on the AP exam because previously learned information such as learnings from biology class or chemistry class can interfere with the newly learned information from psychology, especially since these subjects can cross content.

Part B:

Procedural memory: In a performance task, procedural memory comes in handy because writing letters or typing is easy without thinking about it.

Acetylcholine: This can lead to failure on the performance task because procedural memory might be impaired or recognition of everyday material might exacerbate the difficulty of the already challenging task.

Emotional intelligence: Having high emotional intelligence would influence success in the performance task because it allows for greater creativity when thinking of issues about others and when solving issues.
