Answer:

There is a positive correlation in the data set.

General Formulas and Concepts:

Statistics - Scatterplots

 • Positive Correlation - an upwards trend in the data set
 • Negative Correlation - a downwards trend in the data set
 • No Correlation - an undeterminable correlation in the data set

Step-by-step explanation:

According the data set on the graph, we can see that if we draw a line of best fit, the overall data would be increasing. Therefore, we would have a positive correlation.

What is the solution to -3x<9
GaryK [48]
-3x<9. The way to figure this out is to divide by -3 to get x by itself. Remember, when dividing by a negative, you need to flip the inequality sign.
x>-3 is your answer.

What is the height, x, of the equilateral triangle?
e-lub [12.9K]

Using the Pythagorean Theorem, the height of the equilateral triangle is given by:

A. h = 7\sqrt{3} inches.

What is the Pythagorean Theorem?

The Pythagorean Theorem relates the length of the legs l_1 and l_2 of a right triangle with the length of the hypotenuse h, according to the following equation:

h^2 = l_1^2 + l_2^2

For this problem, we have that:

 • The height is one side of the triangle.
 • The other side is half the length, of 7 in.
 • The hypotenuse is the length, of 14 in.

Hence the height is found as follows:

h^2 + 7^2 = 14^2

h = \sqrt{147}

h = \sqrt{49 \times 3}

h = 7\sqrt{3} inches.
