Describe how to human body systems are synergized
diamong [38]
The brain, mind, and body are a single unit which cannot be separated. Any alteration in the brain affects the bodily functions. Any physical condition can cause changes in the mind and the brain.

Research has proven that this mind-body connection is vital for the overall functioning of a human being. The mind and the body are not separate. What affects one affects the other. An imbalance in the body can often find its root in an imbalance in the mind, and vice versa. Given this mind-body connection, it becomes imperative for any wellbeing treatment to address the concerns of both the mind and the body.

Which best describes how DNA fits inside a cell nucleus?
dolphi86 [110]

Answer:

The correct answer is - DNA tightly coils around proteins and condenses into chromosomes, which fit in the nucleus.

Explanation:

The chromatin reticulum is present in the undivided cells, which condenses to form a rod-like form called a chromosome. The chromosome consists of DNA structures.

That DNA is a double helical structure and acidic in nature and it is present inside the chromosomes as it is coiled around histone protein which is basic in nature. That allows the DNA to fits in the nucleus.

Thus, the 3rd statement is the correct answer.

Nitrate acts as a poison by interfering with oxidative enzymes. oxidizing hemoglobin to methemoglobin, which cannot carry oxygen
xxMikexx [17]

Explanation:

Methemoglobin (metHb) is an oxidized derivative of hemoglobin in which heme iron is in the ferric (Fe3+) or oxidized state rather than the ferrous (Fe2+) or reduced state. Small amounts of methemoglobin normally are formed daily, associated with the release of oxygen from hemoglobin (auto-oxidation).

Methemoglobin cannot bind oxygen, which means it cannot carry oxygen to tissues. It is bluish chocolate-brown in color. In human blood a trace amount of methemoglobin is normally produced spontaneously, but when present in excess the blood becomes abnormally dark bluish brown. The NADH-dependent enzyme methemoglobin reductase (a type of diaphorase) is responsible for converting methemoglobin back to hemoglobin.

Normally one to two percent of a person's hemoglobin is methemoglobin; a higher percentage than this can be genetic or caused by exposure to various chemicals and depending on the level can cause health problems known as methemoglobinemia. A higher level of methemoglobin will tend to cause a pulse oximeter to read closer to 85% regardless of the true level of oxygen saturation. An abnormal increase of methemoglobin will increase the oxygen binding affinity of normal hemoglobin, resulting in a decreased unloading of oxygen to the tissues.
