Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Question 13.

By applying cosine rule,

cos(45°) = \frac{\text{Adjacent side}}{\text{Hypotenuse}}

\frac{1}{\sqrt{2} }=\frac{10}{y}

y = 10√2

By applying sine rule,

sin(45°) = \frac{\text{Opposite side}}{\text{Hypotenuse}}

\frac{1}{\sqrt{2} }=\frac{x}{y}

\frac{1}{\sqrt{2} }=\frac{x}{10\sqrt{2} }

x = 10

Question 15.

By applying sine rule,

sin(60°) = \frac{\text{Opposite side}}{\text{Hypotenuse}}

\frac{\sqrt{3} }{2}=\frac{y}{32}

y = 16√3

By applying cosine rule,

cos(60°) = \frac{\text{Adjacent side}}{\text{Hypotenuse}}

\frac{1}{2}=\frac{x}{32}

x = 16

Question 17.

By applying sine rule,

sin(60°) = \frac{\text{Opposite side}}{\text{Hypotenuse}}

\frac{\sqrt{3} }{2}=\frac{11\sqrt{3} }{y}

y = 22

By applying cosine rule,

cos(60°) = \frac{\text{Adjacent side}}{\text{Hypotenuse}}

\frac{1}{2}=\frac{x}{y}

\frac{1}{2}=\frac{x}{22}

x = 11

What is 12/9 reduced in simpulist
jok3333 [9.3K]
12/9 reduced in simplest form would be 4/3 or 1 1/3. You can pick which one you want to do :). They are both the same thing just one is an improper fraction and the other is a mixed number. I got this answer by dividing both the top and the bottom (The denominator and the numerator) by three.

Which statements are true about the linear inequality y > 3/4x – 2?
skad [1K]
The slope of the line is .75, so 1. is false.

The graph is a dashed line AND the area above it shaded, so 2. is false (in and of itself)

The graph is the area shaded above the line not below it, so 3. is false.

0>.75(0)-2, 0>-2 so 4. is TRUE

The line is dashed and is not part of the solution to the inequality, so the point (0,-2) while on the line, is not part of the solution set and thus is not part of the graph, and does not intercept the graph, so 5. false.  (the line intercepts the y axis at (0, -2) but the line itself is not part of the solution set and thus is not part of the graph)

So only statement 4. is true.

Convert Fractions To Mixed Numbers:

-1 \ \frac{3}{7} = \frac{-10}{7}

-3 \ \frac{2}{3} = \frac{-11}{3}

Multiply Across:

\frac{-10 \ * \ -11}{7 * 3}

= \frac{110}{21}

Simplify:

= 5 \ \frac{5}{21}
