AVprozaik [17]

Answer:

The Answer is Imagery.

Imagery in the poem is used here to express ideas about nature.

Explanation:

<em>Imagery</em> is one of several literary devices available to writers and poets.

When an author sits to write a story, he or she doesn't simply write what happened. Instead, He or she uses what are called literary devices which are <em>narrative techniques</em> that add texture, energy, and excitement to the narrative, grip the reader's imagination, and convey information.

There are hundreds of literary devices at the disposal of a writer. Some of them besides Imagery are:

  • Simile
  • Metaphor
  • Symbolism
  • Flashbacks
  • Foreshadowing
  • Motif
  • Allegory

In the poem above, the phrase "<em>beaded up on the window</em>" gives a vivid image of the after effects of the storm. It also tell us from what perspective the writer observed the storm.

What does Lukens mean when she tells you that a work of literature, by clarifying details, can help readers find the essentials
Arisa [49]

Answer:

The author Lukens says people often find it difficult to view things clearly in our life as one finds himself always in the midway. But when a reader reads a story or work of literature, he learns to sort out the important details by removing the non-essential elements. Similarly, he can employ this clarification technique in real life too in order to separate all the experiences that are irrelevant or unimportant and focus on what is relevant. Thus, the <u>learning of this detachment technique by going through a work of literature would assist the reader to find essentials and focus on the significant events of his life by removing everything that's unessential</u>.

I wouldn't really write down the website information, seeing as I could save the site and return when I wanted. You can't make notes about the main idea if you don't have any info. You can choose what you feel is best from those 2 answers.
