To some extant, during hard times I believe the government should assist with meals, carpooling and groceries. The government shouldn't pay people to do nothing all day, instead they should have all payments stop (electricity wouldn't go out or heat); this would help with the extra money that the government would go into debt by paying people. They should also have jobs available for delivering food and transportation, making the people still have jobs, and helping the people who cannot help themselves.

I feel that the government should be, because many people are out of work, and are in desperate need of money. Since the government is beginning to shut down the country, many places are forced to shut down, and people are no longer able to keep jobs.
