Wilson proposed the League of Nations to promote international peace, diplomacy and to prevent future wars. At the time it did not work because mostly Republicans did not want to get involved with Europe's government, the vote did not pass and the US did not join. With the United Nations it happened within WW2 and Republican President, so with the administration supporting the vote passed.

the united nations was more successful than the league of nations because the united nations was always united and always worked together through their events , but the league of nations always differ each person by where they were from and their strengths
