The growth of plants is dependent on the correct light source.

Explanation:

The article shows that just like humans need food , plants need the sun to grow. Although the sun emits all kinds of light, it also emits the right types of light needed for the growth of plants.

Some other artificial sources of light like the bulb can also emit the energy needed to grow plants. They would, however, need to emit the red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet types of rays. X-rays, gamma rays, ultraviolet rays, etc., are not needed for the growth of plants.
