A) 60+20x (or 20x + 60)

B) 150+10x (or 10x+150)
Tom would pay less during the first month of membership. Edward would Payless after year of membership.
for the first month Tom would pay 60+20(1) =$80. Edward would pay 150+10(1) = $160.
After a year, Tom would pay 60+20(12)=$300. Edward would pay 150+10(12)=$270.

D) At 9 months, Tom and Edward both paid $240
60+20x=150+10x
10x=90
x = 9
60+20(9)=$240 or 150+10(9)=$240

E) platinum gym is a better deal before nine months. Superfit is a better deal after nine months.
