The tension that Anne sees between her family and herself is the fact that she mentioned about how<em> Hitler's coming to power affected their family, particularly her relationship with them.</em> For example, they needed to move to Holland because Hitler hated the Jews. So, this means that t<u>hey have to adjust to many things.</u> Although his father was able to start a business, it was halted when the war came. <em>This caused another distress to them</em>, which means <em>Anne needed to stop going to Dutch school and they have to go into hiding.</em> <u>Such condition contributed to Anne's frustration because she wanted to learn in school and become a journalist in the future</u>, but with the war happening around them, she knew she won't be able to pursue her ambitions anymore.
