In my notes, an essay can be set up in this order:
{I am using the hamburger method}
Each number represents the paragraph and what it contains.
1. The thesis: This speaks about what the essay will be about.
2. Topic Sentence/Supporting Details/Concluding Sentence
3. Number 2 is done at least 2 times, the only difference is that at the beginning of the paragraph you should have a transition sentence.
4. This is the conclusion: in this your thesis (1) is rewritten, you're paragraphs 1-3 (depending how much you wrote) is summarized and you leave the reader with a final thought!
So, to answer your question, you should see those examples in an essay in the same order you put it.
