Meanwhile, down below in the first-class dining-saloon on D deck, four other members of the Titanic’s crew were sitting round on

e of the tables. The last dinner had long since departed, and now the big white Jacobean room was empty except for this single group. They were dining-saloon stewards, indulging in the time-honoured pastime of all stewards off duty – they were gossiping about their passengers.
Then, as they sat there talking, a faint grinding jar seemed to come from somewhere deep inside the ship. It was not much, but enough to break the conversation and rattle the silver that was set for breakfast next morning.

Describe at least 1 way these members of the Titanic Crew are different from the look outs and the Quartermaster?

Do you think the job of steward was a better or worse than the job of Quartermaster? Explain your reasoning using a full sentence.

Answer:

Describe at least 1 way these members of the Titanic Crew are different from the look outs and the Quartermaster?

While the look-outs and Quartermaster's jobs were to monitor the surrounding area of the ship and make ensure smooth sailing and had nothing to do with passengers, the stewards' jobs were to serve passengers inside of the ship and had nothing to do with monitoring the ship.

Do you think the job of steward was a better or worse than the job of Quartermaster? Explain your reasoning using a full sentence.

I think the job of steward was a better job than the Quartermaster because the Quartermaster had more responsibility and if anything on the ship was to go wrong the Quartermaster would get the blame.

Hope this helps you!

Look at the points :D!
Which statement about theme is true?
coldgirl [10]

The statement about theme that is true is "Different readers might see different themes in the same story," as stated in option D and explained below.

What is theme?

The theme of a literary work is the main idea or message the author wants readers to grasp after or while reading it. However, it is important to understand that one literary work may have more than just one theme. Also, different readers might see different themes in the same story.

Let's use the famous play "Romeo and Juliet" as an example. One reader might identify the theme as being the importance of obedience. Had Juliet and Romeo obeyed their parents, they wouldn't have had such a tragic ending.

However, another reader might identify the theme as being the importance of letting go of past grudges. Had Romeo's and Juliet's families made peace, the deaths of their children wouldn't have occurred.

With the information above in mind, we can choose option D as the correct answer.
