Journal Entry #1:
<span>The monarchs of many European
kingdoms wanted to find faster trade routes to Asia than the land routes that
crossed Asia. They wanted me to find the route I ended up finding two continents.
The Natives wear unique clothes. They have bows and arrows. And are nicer then
they seem. They got along with my crew. And even gave us food. During my exploring
there, many diseases spread to the Native. I also brought different types of
food back to Europe, such as, Potatoes, Corn and Chocolate.</span>
The jungle terrain and bad weather made it difficult for the American forces fighting in Vietnam. This is because it allowed the Vietcong to successfully use guerrilla warfare strategies and to lay traps. Later, tunnels were found under the jungles which helped them avoid bombs
Africa was rich in natural resources. They wanted to establish colonies in Africa to extract them. There were also other reasons such as, nationalism, missionaries and ambition.
The european union produces about 15% of the world's goods and services. The EU hosts only 6.9% of the world's population, but its trade with the rest of the world represents approximately 20% of world imports and exports. Approximately 62% of total trade is between the EU countries, it is one of the three main world trade powers. The other two are the United States and China.
