A college student who has created a method of removing plastic particles from seawater has been selected as one of 40 participants at a prestigious science fair. Finn Collins, an 18-year-old Mansfield resident, revealed his research at NottsTechEx, which to anyone over 30 is better known as the Nottinghamshire Technology Exhibition.
Finn said he was always hearing about plastic pollution and could see the effects for himself when he went to visit his grandparents in Skegness on the Lincolnshire coast.
