Answer:ust six days after the fall of the Fulgencio Batista dictatorship in Cuba, U.S. officials recognize the new provisional government of the island nation. Despite fears that Fidel Castro, whose rebel army helped to overthrow Batista, might have communist leanings, the U.S. government believed that it could work with the new regime and protect American interests in Cuba.

Idel Castro's life story is not the story of the leader of a poor underdeveloped nation struggling to survive against the fierce opposition of the United States. For four decades, Castro purposely stood at the center of the dangerous game the United States, the Soviet Union and sometimes China played for political pre-eminence in the Third World. By deftly manipulating the opportunities afforded Cuba by the Cold War, he managed to turn his island into a launching pad for the projection of his leadership throughout the world.

Describe at least three differences between fans and customers
tester [92]

Answer:

The difference between the customer who just bought the product and the client who is crazy about this product or brand is huge, even if the nominal amount of the purchase is the same. In other words, an ordinary customer’s dollar is not equal to a eager fan’s dollar. There is a formal way of dividing customers into categories - the Net Promoter Score (NPS). NPS measures customer loyalty and satisfaction. Moreover, an index value of minus 100 means that all customers are critics, and plus 100 means that all customers are promoters of this product/brand.

The main thing for the consumer is the product’s functionality, ease of use, simplicity, high-quality satisfaction of needs. For the fan, the emotional effect of owning and using the product is of great importance.

An important practical consequence of the foregoing is that working with consumers and fans, understanding their needs requires completely different skills and it is advisable that people with relevant experience and knowledge engage in this activity.

People are becoming more demanding. A quick service or a meaningless gift will no longer cause the customer to return and all the more so to become a fan. But the combination of good service and positive emotions is still "addictive. "

Which issues divided Americans most significantly during the culture wars of the 1980s and 1990s?
bazaltina [42]

Answer:

Some of the issues that polarized American Society ever since are:

  • Gun politics - the right to keep guns is protected by the Second Amendment. However, the amount of guns in the United States is large, and some political commentators argue that this is one of the causes of the increasing amount of mass shootings in the country. This is why people on different political aisles have called for more gun regulation, while others oppose these measures.
  • Abortion - this is a hot button issue up to this day. People disagree on everything here: whether a fetus is a human being or not, whether women should keep unwated pregnacies or not, whether the argument should be framed in a religious fashion or in a secular fashion, etc.
  • Recreational drug use and legalization - Drug use is still frowned upon by most of society, but this has not stopped marihuana from being legalized in several states. Many economists support legalization because they believe that prohibition only leads to inflated prices in black markets that are prone to violence. Legalization of hard drugs such as cocaine and heroine, however, is much more controversial.
  • Separation of church and state - Some people believe that United States is a Christian nation, and that the church should have a lot of influence in the government, while others argue that America is a secular country, and that state and religous matters are separate.
