The space shuttle program began when the Columbia flew on April 12, 1981. It was the first fully functional orbiter, which was built in Palmdale, California. It was delivered in Kennedy Space Center on March 25 1979. The launching of the space shuttle marked the 20th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's space flight, which happened on April 12, 1961.
In my opinion,I am fine with the idea of genetically modified crop because it has many benefits:
- economic benefit:more crop can be raised
- environmental benefit: less pesticides are used
- human factor : whole world can be fed,poor can be fed all over the world,impossible without genetic crop.
- vegetarian non-veg food can be grown
- nutritional content can be improved
- longer shelf life
- medical benefits from GMO crops"pharmingëg:added vitamins,proteins
- more appealing food
- easier to transport
