What are the zeros of the polynomial function F(x) = xᶺ2 – 5x – 6?
zavuch27 [327]

First, you need to factor the function.  You can do this by finding a pair of numbers whose product is equal to the c term (-6) and whose sum is equal to the b term (-5).  These numbers are -6 and 1 (-6*1=-6, -6+1=5).  The factored expression takes the form:

(x+1)(x-6)=0

The zeroes can be found by flipping the signs in the parentheses.  The zeroes are equal to each number.

The zeroes are -1 and 6.

Hope this helps!!

Write the real form of each complex equation.
Lerok [7]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

(a)z=4\cos (\theta )+9i\sin (\theta )

Re(z)=4\cos \theta

Im(z)=9\sin \theta

(b)z=6\cos (\theta )+i\sin (\theta )

Re(z)=6\cos \theta

Im(z)=\sin \theta

(c)z=\sqrt{5}\cos (\theta )+\sqrt{10}i\sin (\theta )

Re(z)=\sqrt{5}\cos (\theta )

Im(z)=\sqrt{10}\sin (\theta )

(d)z=5-2i+4\cos (\theta )+7i\sin (\theta )

z=5+4\cos \theta +i(7\sin \theta -2)

Re(z)=5+4\cos \theta

Im(z)=7\sin \theta -2

Prove that the median to the base of an isosceles triangle is also: the altitude to the base.
EleoNora [17]

Hey there!

The base angles theorem converse states if two angles in a triangle are congruent, then the sides opposite those angles are also congruent. The Isosceles Triangle Theorem states that the perpendicular bisector of the base of an isosceles triangle is also the angle bisector of the vertex angle.

Let me know if you are still confused and need a better explination :)

Have a great day!
