On TV, people who sleepwalk generally act like zombies, they stagger along with their arms held stiffly in front of them. In fact (as you know if you've ever seen one), most sleepwalkers walk around quite frequently. They may even perform routine tasks. Such as getting dressed or brushing their teeth. Sometimes they talk, although their conversation may not make a lot of sense. "Sleepwalking is relatively typical behavior. Especially among children. It occurs during periods of profound sleep.

In most cases, a person sleepwalks a few times, and then the sleepwalking stops forever. If sleepwalking becomes a frequent problem, the sleepwalker may need a doctor help. What should you do if you see someone sleepwalking? Leading the sleepwalker back bed is usually all that is necessary. But if the sleepwalker is in danger of injury, gently wake him up or her up.
