The GI Bill was a public law passed in 1944 to help veterans returning from the Second World War with money for education and other benefits like loans for homes and businesses. The number of veterans enrolling in colleges like the Oklahoma City University as well as other technical schools rose to the roof. Thousands of people were benefited from this and although it helped battling unemployment, the numbers of veterans that went to college were the most representative thing if this bill.
