What would happen to an animal cell with an internal salt concentration of 0.8% if it were placed in a salt solution with a conc

entration of 0.2%? Why?

Answer:

This simply explain the concept of osmosis. A solution of 0.8% is lower in conc. (hypotonic)compare to that of 0..2%(hypertonic)Therefore, the inner cells layer would lose water to higher hypertonic concentrated medium.

      water flows from .8% to salt solution of 0.2%

This follows the concept of osmosis which is the movement of water molecule from the region of higher water potential(.08) to region of lower water potential(0.2) but high solute potential, through  a semiportable ,membrane, the plasma membrane.

Burbank process is similar to natural selection because he will select the potato based on some traits. The trait would be big potato and resistant to disease. The genetic makeup will also favor those with the selected trait. This process should be faster.</span>
