He is a young gun and having fun, though he is also a pretty layered character. I think he does believe in fate and destiny to a degree, though like most of us, doesn't spend too much time placing his fate in the hands of the gods, he creates his destiny by creating his destiny - until his fate is taken outside of his control. I think at first he did believe in creating his own destiny until the gods took his fate.

Nancy is a nurse at St. John's hospital. Last night, she worked from 2:58 p.m. until 3:05 a.m. How long did she work? 11 hours,
timofeeve [1]

Answer:

11 hours and 53 minutes

Explanation:

One way to solve this problem is by converting both times to the 24-hour format. 2:58 pm is the same as 14:58 and 3:05 am is the same as 3:05. Now we can subtract 3:05 from 14:58 and get our answer:

14 - 3 = 11

58 - 5 = 53

Nancy worked for 11 hours and 53 minutes.

Paul [167]

Answer: D. Foreshadowing.

Explanation: foreshadowing is  a giving a warning, an indication, or a hint of something that will happen in the future in a story. In the given passage from "The Black Cat" by Edgar Allan Poe, we can see an example of foreshadowing when the speaker says "In their consequences, these events have terrified have tortured have destroyed me" he hints the ending of the events that he is going to tell.
