Answer:

x = -13

Step-by-step explanation:

36 = 6^2

216 = 6^3

36^(2x + 5) = 6^(2)^(2x + 5)

When taking an exponent to an exponet: multiply the exponents

36^(2x + 5) = 6^(4x + 10)

216^(x - 1) = 6^(3)^(x - 1)

When taking an exponent to an exponet: multiply the exponents

216^(x - 1) = 6^(3x - 3)

-----------------------------

Therefor

6^(4x + 10) = 6^(3x - 3)

Since the bases are the same the exponents are equal

4x + 10 = 3x - 3

Subtract 3x from both sides

x + 10 = -3

subtract 10 from both sides

x = -13

{36}^{2x + 5}  =  {216}^{x - 1}

{6}^{2(2x + 5)}  =  {6}^{3(x - 1)}

{6}^{(4x + 10)}  =  {6}^{(3x - 3)}

Since bases i.e 6 are same exponents are equal

4x+10= 3x-3

4x-3x = -3-10

x= -13

15. A music store sells a copy of a deluxe electric guitar for $295. This is $30 more
tatuchka [14]

Answer:

It costs $795

Step-by-step explanation:

$30 more than one half so you have to subtract 30 from 295 then that's 265 which is 1/3 of the acual price. So then you have to multiply 265 by 3 then you get $795.

I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. If anyone could explain this to me, I'd be grateful.
sveticcg [70]
To graph a piecewise function, simply graph both functions. However, if, for the function it says something like x>0, erase the function for the values of x not greater than 0. The domain is what the x values can be, and the range is what the y values can be.

What is the dollar value of 10 nickels and 3 quarters? What is the dollar value of 2
mixer [17]

Answer:

  • 10 nickles × 5 cents value = 50 cents
  • 3 quarter × 25 cents value = 75 cents
  • So the dollar value is $1.25
  1. Now for dollar value of 2 nickles and y quarters
  2. it would be (2×5)+(y×0.25 )
  3. Hence: 10+0.25y
