Harriet Tubman was known as the “Moses of her people”. She was a slave who escaped and later helped others gain their freedom as a person of the Underground Railroad. Harriet Tubman also served as a scout, spy, guerrilla soldier, and nurse for the Union Army.
The word revolution used to describe the industrial changes that took place in England during the 1700´s reflects the revolutionary effects that the new technologies had in the manufacture and production of goods. The first historian to popularize the term was Arnold Toynbee.
