•    Lyrical poetry

Lyrical poetry is also categorized as a non-narrative poem. It features a single speaker whose goal is to share a mood, state of mind, and attitude toward the readers.

•    Dramatic poetry

Dramatic poetry is poetry that contains one or more characters. It also includes action. The purpose of dramatic poetry is to involve the readers in a condition or experience. It also used to create tension, expectation, immediacy, and conflict.  

•    Narrative poetry

Narrative poetry is a kind of poetry that tells a story. The examples are the epic, the ballad, the romance, and the tale in verse because, in that poem, there is a story to tell.
