"The moral barriers" as in ethics and morals, "that I had supposed to exist between me and the dangers of a criminal career" as in morals that the character put into place about how dangerous being a criminal could be "were so tenuous as to be merely non-existent" didn't matter to the character.

Three sets of waves came in contact with the object as shown in the picture below. Identify what happened to each set of waves.
Maurinko [17]

Answers:

  • Blue = Reflected
  • Pink = Absorbed

This is because the blue lines bounce off the object, while the pink lines go into the object. It seems like the pink lines stop midway through the object. It's not clear if your teacher meant this, or meant them to keep going like the yellow lines. Either way, the pink lines have been absorbed.

Little Crazy's pizza is expensive, not to mention terrible. It's greasy, the crust is stale, and it costs a whopping $4 a slice!
OlgaM077 [116]
When you condemn something, you give reasons to why something is bad, when you endorse something, you are promoting it.

So, in this passage, it first condemns other pizza restaurants, then endorses one.

So, "D" is the answer.

I hope this helps!
