Answer:

The perimeter of the hexagon is equal to 36\ units

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x-------> the length side of the hexagon

L-----> the length of the rectangle

W-----> the width of the rectangle

we know that

The perimeter of the hexagon is equal to

P=6x

The perimeter of the rectangle is equal to

P=2L+2W

so

6x=2L+2W

3x=L+W -------> equation A

x=L-4 -------> equation B

W=L-2 -------> equation C

Substitute equation B and equation C in equation A

3[L-4]=L+[L-2]

Solve for L

3L-12=2L-2

3L-2L=12-2

L=10\ units

<u>Find the value of x</u>

x=L-4

x=10-4=6\ units

<u>Find the perimeter of hexagon</u>

P=6x

P=6(6)=36\ units

Number 5 ABC or D? Please help
RoseWind [281]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

you want to solve it out

start with multiplying z to each. you don't multiply it to the 6 because it is in the same parenthesis set, but you multiply it to everything in the other set.  After multiplying, you get: 2z^3 , 3z^{2} , 5z

now do that to the 6. After multiplying you get:  12z^{2}, 18z, 30

now set it all next to each other 2z^3 + 3z^{2} + 5z + 12z^{2} + 18z + 30

now combine like terms. start with the to the highest power. since there is only one that has a third power, you put that one first. then you combine the squared ones, and so forth.

work combining the squares: 3z^{2} + 12z^{2} = 15z^{2}

work combing the single z's: 5z + 18z = 23z

to get this:  2z^3 + 15z^{2} + 23z + 30

so, the answer is D

What are the domain and range of g(x)=√x+4?
beks73 [17]

Answer:

Domain [-4 , +∞)

Range [0 , +∞)

Step-by-step explanation:

the function g such that g(x)=√(x+4) ,is defined

for the values of x that verify :

x + 4 ≥ 0

⇔ x ≥ -4

Then

The domain of g is [-4 , +∞)

………………………………………………

Let  x ∈ [-4 , +∞)

then x ≥ -4

then x + 4 ≥ 0

then g(x) = √(x+4) ≥ 0

Therefore, we can affirm that the range of g is [0 , +∞)
