Saying that there´s never any time but now refers to the importance of living in the moment, focusing on what can be done at the time, without being distracted by what could have happened (the past) or what we want to happen in the future.

Explanation:

This attitude could definitely make someone more efficient because the past and the future are things that we have no control over. The only thing that we can change is what we do in the present. Being focused is a key element to be efficient.

However, we should all consider the past, as something to learn from. And we should consider the consequences of our actions, the effect they might have in the future.

This doesn´t mean that past and future don't exist. It means that they are not to be the most important element when we decide on our actions. The really important thing is to be in the moment and focus on what we can do to achieve our goals.

Normally its the pleasure of doing so or they are just in need of something (i.e. robbing a bank-in need of money). Most people who do something wrong to get something they want do it for the thrill or the pleasure.
