Which is the right way to capitalize the words in this sentence?
densk [106]

Answer:

A: Years ago, my brother worked at the Ford Plant in St. Paul.

This is the right way to capitalize the words in the given sentence "years ago, my brother worked at the ford plant in st. paul."

Explanation:

“Capitalizing” words in a sentence is very important to show importance of certain words. First letter of a sentence is always capital. Then, all the names begin with a capital a sentence.

In the correct option A, first letter of the word 'Y' in 'years' should be capital. Then, 'F' of Ford plant will be capital, as it is a name. “St. Paul” is also a name and hence 'S' and 'P' respectively of this word should be capital. In other options, either of the given letters are not capital, so they are incorrect.

"As a new jar I am empty and open" is an example of a: (10 points) Select one: a. metaphor b. hyperbole c. simile d. paradox
suter [353]

I think it is a metaphor. Metaphor's are like similes but don use "like" or "as".

For example: I am a pig at dinner.

That is a metaphor because I'm saying that I'm a pig at dinner, but I don't literally mean it.

For a simile:

I am like a pig at dinner.

I say like because I'm comparing myself with a pig. And I used like. So it makes it a simile.

I hope that helps! :)

So the answer is metaphor.

Write a paragraph in which you compare and contrast the strengths of fiction and nonfiction.
choli [55]

Answer:

Authors choose a genre based on their purpose. Fiction works well for teaching a lesson, as in fables. However, presenting facts and opinions in nonfiction might be a better way to present information. When authors begin to write, they think about what they want the reader to understand or experience. While fiction may be the best genre for storytelling, nonfiction may be the most clear for sharing facts, so both genres have merits.

deff fn [24]

Answer: Today, we start using alternative sources of energy like solar power, wind power, geothermal, biomass, hydro power, waste energy and so on, because these renewable energy sources are not polluting the environment and are helping us to reduce the level of greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere and to reduce climate. Overall, these alternate forms are a huge help to our environment and support and benefit our personal and physical lives.
