Orpheus decided to rescue his wife Eurydice from the Underworld because he loved her. She died way too young, and he couldn't bear to live without her, so he went to the Underworld himself to get her back. The only condition was that he couldn't look at her until they were out of the Underworld. But of course, he couldn't help it, and therefore she remained in Hell forever.
