The temperature is 2 degrees and drops to -15 degrees overnight. Write and then evaluate a subtraction expression to determine t
KiRa [710]

Answer:

-17 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

Initial temperature = 2 degrees

Final temperature = -15 degrees

To Determine:

The change in temperature.

Solution:

First of all, let us have a look at the method for calculating the change in any quantity.

Let the initial quantity = a

Let the final quantity = b

Change in quantity = Final quantity - Initial quantity = b - a

Here, we are given the quantity as temperature.

where a = 2 degrees and

b = -15 degrees

Therefore, the change in temperature = -15 - 2 = \bold{-17} <em>degrees</em>

Analyze the diagram below and complete the instructions that follow.<br><br> Find sin 60 degree
Effectus [21]

Given:

Right triangle

θ = 60°

To find:

sin 60°

Solution:

The reference image is attached below.

The given triangle is a right triangle.

θ = 60°

Using basic trigonometric ratio formula:

$\sin \theta = \frac{\text{Opposite side to } \theta} {\text{Hypotenuse}}

$\sin 60^\circ  = \frac{\text{Opposite side to } 60^\circ} {\text{Hypotenuse}}

$\sin 60^\circ  = \frac{BC}{AC}

The value of sin 60° = \frac{\sqrt{3} }{2}.

$\frac{\sqrt{3} }{2}  = \frac{BC}{AC}

In the given figure, the values of adjacent side, opposite side and hypotenuse are not given.

How do I do it and show my work along with it?
Rudiy27
Be kind and say please,that is being rude when you don't say it. Well, how much times does 6 go into 34? 5 times right. So then put 30 under the 34. You get 4. So then bring down the 5. How much times does 6 go into 45. 7 right. So then put 42 under 45. You get 3. Now add a decimal point after the 5 and after the 7. Add zero after the 5 . Bring down the zero. How much times does 6 go into 30? 5 times, so you put 30 under 30 and get zero. If you have any more questions,please leave them below in the comments.

What is the volume of the following rectangular prism
zloy xaker [14]

Answer:

The volume of the rectangular prism is 7/8 u³

Step-by-step explanation:

1/2 u² = 0.5 u²

1 3/4 u = 1.75 u

To calculate the volume of a rectangular prism we have to use the following formula:

a = area = 0.5 u²

v = volume

h = height  = 1.75 u

v = a * h

we replace the values that we know

v = 0.5 u²  * 1.75 u

v = 0.875 u³ = 7/8 u³

The volume of the rectangular prism is 7/8 u³
