Answer:

a wild guess would be...56/81

Step-by-step explanation:

This is only right if the triangle is rectangular !

First try to figure out what the length of the other side of the triangle is with the Pythagorean theorem (=> a^2 = b^2 + c^2).

<=> a^2 - c^2 = b^2

 => 9^2 - 5^2 = b^2

<=> 81 - 25 = b^2 = 56

therefor b = the square root of 56.

Next you try to figure out what the cosinus of that angle would be.

the square root of 56/9

Now must you multiply that by two;

112/9

Because this is not an option maybe we need to do something like;

(square root of 56/9)^2

that would equal

56/81

which is the last option.

I do not understand it very much myself so have fun trying to find the correct answer.

The longer leg of a 30,-60,-90 degree triangle is 18: what is the length of the other leg
taurus [48]

Answer:

The other legs are 9 and 9√3

Step-by-step explanation:

The longer side of a 30-60-90 degree rectangle is 18.

The other legs will be

\frac{x}{2}

and

\frac{x}{2}  \sqrt{3}

Where x is the longest side, which is given as 18.

Therefore one leg will be:

\frac{18}{2}  = 9

and the other leg will be:

\frac{18}{2}  \sqrt{3}  = 9 \sqrt{3}

Find cscθ.<br><br>pls answer
ExtremeBDS [4]

Answer:

The answer to your question is csc Ф = \frac{-5}{4}

Step-by-step explanation:

Process

1.- Determine the sign

We must determine csc Ф in the forth quadrangle, here csc is negative.

2.- Determine the hypotenuse

     c² = a² + b²

     c² = 3² + (-4)²

     c² = 9 + 16

     c² = 25

     c = 5

3.- Determine csc Ф

    csc Ф = \frac{hypotenuse}{opposite side}

    csc Ф = \frac{5}{-4}  = \frac{-5}{4}
