The length of a garden can be expressed as 2X +6 feet and the width is X +7 feet what is the perimeter of the garden what is the
Virty [35]

Answer:

6x + 26 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

Assuming the garden is a rectangular shape, we have four sides, where two sides are 2x + 6 feet and two sides are x + 7 feet. To find the perimeter, we add up the lengths of all four sides.

2x + 6 + 2x + 6 + x + 7 + x + 7

or

2(2x + 6) + 2(x + 7)

6x + 26

If F(x) and G(x) are two functions such that F(G(x)) = x then F(x) and G(x) are ..?
lana [24]
They are inverse functions though to be completely thorough your teacher should have also put g(f(x)) = x as well. Though I can see what your teacher is aiming for at least.

The idea is that whatever the output of g(x) is, it's plugged into f(x) and the initial input is the result. So g(x) takes a step forward and f(x) takes a step back undoing everything g(x) did. Which is exactly what an inverse operation does.

a circle is centered at the point -3,2) and passes through the point (1,5). The radius of the circle is blank units. The point (
lianna [129]
It's important that you share the complete question.  What is your goal here?  Double check to ensure that you have copied the entire problem correctly.

The general equation of a circle is x^2 + y^2 = r^2.  Here we know that the circle passes thru two points:  (-3,2) and (1,5).  Given that a third point on the circle is (-7, ? ), find the y-coordinate of this third point.

Subst. the known values (of the first point) into this equation:  (-3)^2 + (2)^2 = r^2.  Then 9 + 4 = 13 = r^2.

Let's check this.  Assuming that the equation of this specific circle is
x^2 + y^2 = r^2 = 13, the point (1,5) must satisfy it.

(1)^2 + (5)^2 = 13 is not true, unfortunately.

(1)^2 + (5)^2 = 1 + 25 = 26 (very different from 13).

Check the original problem.  If it's different from that which you have shared, share the correct version and come back here for further help.
