Use Pythagoras theorem to find the length of SQ:-

SQ^2 = 3^2 + 4^2 (because SP = 3 and PQ = 4 cms)

SQ = sqrt (9 + 16) = 5

So tan < USQ = 6/5

the required value of the angle = 50.194 degrees = 50 12'

Its option C

The probability distribution histogram shows the number of trees in yards in a certain neighborhood.
Vilka [71]

Answer:

45%

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, we want to know the probability of a randomly selected yard having 6 or more than 6 trees

To get this, we simply add up the probability of 6 yards and above

That is the probability of 6, 8 , 10 and 12 yards

This is obtainable from the histogram

We then proceed to add up from the graph

What we have is;

0.05 + 0.25 + 0.10 + 0.05

= 0.10 + 0.10 + 0.25 = 0.45

This is same as 45/100 which is otherwise 45%

Cherry pies cost $12 each. Apple pies cost $9 each. You sold 20 pies and brought in $198. How many apple pies did you sell? How
LuckyWell [14K]

Answer:

You sold 6 cherry pies and 14 apple pies.

Step-by-step explanation:

It's a system of equations problem.

12C + 9A = 198

A + C = 20

A = 20 - C

12C + 9(20 - C) = 198

12C + 180 - 9C = 198

3C + 180 = 198

3C = 18

C = 6

A + 6 = 20

A = 14

Assume all variables represent non negative numbers . Help please!!
Dafna1 [17]

Answer:

A). 2p^{8}

B). 3m^{7}

Step-by-step explanation:

A). \sqrt{4p^{16}}

    To get the square root of the given expression we will convert it into the square form.

4p^{16}=(2)^2(p^{8})^2 [Since 2×2 = 4 and p^{8}\times p^{8}=p^{16}]

Therefore, \sqrt{4p^{16}}=\sqrt{2^{2}\times (p^{8})^2 }

                             =2p^{8}

B). \sqrt{9m^{44}}

    Since, 9m^{14}=(3)^2\times (m^7)^2

    Therefore,  \sqrt{9m^{44}}=\sqrt{(3)^2\times (m^7)^2} [Since 3² = 9 and (m⁷)² = m¹⁴]

                                   =3m^{7}

Pls help me help me pls
grin007 [14]

Answer:

Point B

Step-by-step explanation:

Lines given:

  • y= 2/5x - 1/2
  • y= -1/3x +2/3

x coordinate of intersection of given lines is:

  • 2/5x - 1/2= -1/3x+2/3
  • 2/5x+1/3x= 2/3 +1/2
  • 6/15x+5/15x= 4/6+3/6
  • 11/15x=7/6
  • x= 7*15/11*6
  • x= 35/22

For this value of x, the value of y is:

  • y= 2/5*35/22 - 1/2
  • y=14/22- 1/2
  • y= 3/22

As per graph point (35/22, 3/22) is point B
