Use Pythagoras theorem to find the length of SQ:-

SQ^2 = 3^2 + 4^2 (because SP = 3 and PQ = 4 cms)

SQ = sqrt (9 + 16) = 5

So tan < USQ = 6/5

the required value of the angle = 50.194 degrees = 50 12'

Its option C

Answer:

C) B>A

Step-by-step explanation:

if it doesn't make sense think of it like the number in between A and B is .5. You can visibly see that A is less than or below .5 and B is above or greater than .5, so B is greater than A.

Its 6/7 (A) because the denominators are the same, so the denominator stays the same. But if it isnt I am sorry.

Find the value of x if x^1/12 = 121^1/24
kifflom [539]
The value is 11.

121^1/24 is actually square of 121^1/12
so x= square of 121 = 11

Which is equivalent to (4xy-3x)^2, and what type of special product is it?
mars1129 [50]

It's not the difference of squares, rather it is the square of a difference. That leaves a perfect square trinomial, which narrows your selection to two choices. An expression with 2 terms is not a trinomial, so that further narrows your selection. The appropriate choice is

... (4xy -3z)² = 16x²y² -24xyz +9z², a perfect square trinomial

_____

The expression you have in your problem statement has no z term, so none of the choices is applicable to that one.

Ilya [14]

Answer:

M=\left\{\begin{matrix}0.4x &x\leq99 \\ 0.5x &x>100 \\ \end{matrix}\right.

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Function modeling</u>

Real-life situations often require the help of mathematics to model numerically what happens when the variables involved can change. It could even be used to predict some expected outcomes from those models.

The problem states Janice receives $.40 per pound when he recycles less or equal than 99 pounds of aluminum. If x is the number of recycled pounds, then the amount of money he receives is

M=0.4x

We also know that if he recycles more than 100 pounds of aluminum, the pay increases to $0.5 per pound. In that case, the amount of money is

M=0.5x

This is a case where the function is defined differently depending on the conditions of the input variable x. It's called a piecewise function. The function can be written as

M=\left\{\begin{matrix}0.4x &x\leq99 \\ 0.5x &x>100 \\ \end{matrix}\right.

Note the function is not well constructed because there is a gap for x=100 where M is not defined. If we establish that for 100 pounds the payment is $0.5, then the second piece would include x=100
