Answer:

Swirling in the opposite direction from a low pressure system, the winds of a high pressure system rotate clockwise north of the equator and counterclockwise south of the equator. This is called anticyclonic flow. Air from higher in the atmosphere sinks down to fill the space left as air is blown outward.

Explain the reasons why the study of geography is important and how it affects your life.
ladessa [460]
The study of geography is important because it helps you learn about your surrounding area. Depending on where you live it might be ideal to know where there are hills and high elevations in case of extreme flooding. In that case you could easily get to some safety if you are on the road. If you hadn't know then you would be in a major predicament.

Explain the process of precipitation, evaporation, and condensation within the water cycle
andre [41]

evaporation is when a mass of water is hit by sunlight and some of it turns to a vapor. In the atmosphere, that vapor cools and the water molecules fuse with other water molecules, forming clouds. (condensation) When the clouds become full, the water precipitates onto land or into the ocean in the form of rain, sleet, snow or hail (precipitation).

STALIN [3.7K]

Answer:

Considering that the star is less massive than the sun, the smaller mass of the star would provide a less strong force of gravity at any distance, and consequently a lower orbital speed. Thus, the year of the planet would be longer than that of the Earth.
