Answer:

Slash-and-burn agriculture techniques are typically practiced by subsistence farmers who plant an area until the soil loses its fertility.

Explanation:

There are multiple different types of farming, and they mostly depend on the level of development of a country or a particular area of a country. The farming methods range anywhere from organic and self-sustaining farming to subsistence farming and everything in between. Subsistence farming is a primitive method of farming and it can mostly be found in the less developed countries.

Subsistence farming is a type of farming where the people produce enough only for their own needs, and usually don't have anything left for trade on the market. This method of farming is mostly found in sub-Saharan Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia. In order for the people to get to land for farming they use the slash-and-burn method, which is basically cutting and burning down all of the vegetation, and in its place create farmland. This is not a good method on the lng rn though because the soil is not of high quality not is treated properly, so the people just move on and destroy another piece of land once the one they use loses its fertility.

. Which of the following are causing increased use of the groundwater supply? Select one: a. Laws against surface water use b. C
MAVERICK [17]

Answer:

c. Lack of food sources

Explanation:

The groundwater has been used more and more around the world. There are large reserves of it, but in the past few decades the groundwater reserves have constantly been going down. The main reason for this is the lack of food sources. Because the global population is constantly on the rise, more and more food is needed, and in order to produce it, more and more farmlands are created. The increased number of farmlands means that more water is needed for irrigation, thus the groundwater reserves are the ones that suffer the most.
