Find the perimeter of the triangle defined by the coordinates (9, 0), (-5, 0), and (-10, 6). (Round to nearest tenth)
Masteriza [31]
The perimeter is 41.7

Find the length of each side using the distance formula:
d=\sqrt{(0-0)^2+(-5-9)^2}=\sqrt{0^2+14^2}=\sqrt{196}=14
\\
\\d=\sqrt{(6-0)^2+(-10--5)^2}=\sqrt{6^2+(-5)^2}=\sqrt{36+25}=\sqrt{61}=7.8
\\
\\d=\sqrt{(6-0)^2+(-10-9)^2}=\sqrt{6^2+(-19)^2}=\sqrt{36+361}=\sqrt{397}=
\\19.9

Adding the side lengths, we have
14+7.8+19.9=41.7

Answer:

$34.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Turning the 3/4 into a decimal would be .75, .75 can go into 7.5 10 times. You would multiply 10 by the cost $3.45 and you would get $34.5 for 7.5 lbs of walnuts.
