The word romance began to be introduced in the literary scene from the eighteenth century. Romanticism contributed to the literary system by maturing the novel and affirming it as a literary genre. It is a cultural manifestation in which there are traces of modern tastes and sensibilities.
Realism was also an artistic movement where it sought to show what it really is. It is considered an escape from excessive adoration of romanticism to material things. And it presents itself more real than romanticism.
