Answer:

The First Emperor

Qin Shihuang (259-210 B.C.E.) conquered much in this life, but his driving purpose was even greater; he sought to conquer death. In order to achieve immortality, he built himself a tomb—a vast underground city guarded by a life-size terracotta army including warriors, infantrymen, horses, chariots and all their attendant armor and weaponry.

The underground terracotta army found in the First Emperor’s burial complex is undoubtedly one of the most remarkable and mysterious discoveries from the ancient world. A sprawling citadel has been unearthed, complete with gardens and stables, bronze ritual vessels, jade jewelry, and a wealth of gold and silver ornaments.

Besides revealing much about an ancient way of life, observing the physical construction of the underground complex and the methodical production of the figures reveals a set of themes from which we gain a window of insight to the First Emperor’s worldview and enduring influence.

Which accomplishment helped make Herbert Hoover popular at the beginning of his presidency?
crimeas [40]

Answer:

The correct response is Option A: Hoover expanded tax cuts among all income classes.

Explanation:

The Hoover-Mellon tax cut in 1929 was supposed to help ease economic problems by giving cuts in corporate taxes to businesses and individual citizens, although deeper economic problems were beginning to become evident. It was an experiment in confidence-building. Initially, it was a popular idea with tax-cut supporters mounting a rally at the Capitol that included film and radio stars like actress Mae Murray. There were petitions circulating in favor of the cuts.  This effort to appease the public shows the dilemma facing incumbent presidents because they have to please the public and deliver on campaign promises.

Zinaida [17]
Yes the boycott was successful due to that fact that the taxes on the colonies were so high that the British depended a lot on tax of the exports and merchandise that they were producing. But because of the boycott they weren’t becoming as financially stable as they should of been. Because of these taxes and boycotting it would later lead to the American Revolution
