Adela, Rachel and Santo take pictures. Adela takes 7 more pictures than Rachel. Santo takes 4 times as many pictures as Adela. S
Ksivusya [100]

Let's put this into variables.

A = number fo Adela's photos

R = Rachel's

S = Santo's

Adelia is 7 more than Rachel, so

A = R + 7

Santo is four times as many as Adela.

S = 4A

Santo takes 48 pictures.

S = 48 = 4A.

48/4 = 12 = A

Adela takes 12 photos.

Rachel is 7 less than Adela.

R = 12 - 7

R = 5

A company borrows 84,700 for new equipment. The company agrees to make quarterly payments for 9 years at 10% per year. Find the
mr Goodwill [35]
To calculate the payment amount per period, we use the equation:

A = P [(i(1+i)^n) / ((1+i)^n -1)]

where A is the amount to be paid per period
            P is the loan amount or the principal amount
            i is the interest rate
            n is the number of compounding period

The given are as follows:
P = 84700
i = 10% per year = 2.5% per quarter
n = 9 yrs = 36 quarters

Substituting the values:

A = P [(i(1+i)^n) / ((1+i)^n -1)]
A = 84700 [(.025(1+.025)^36) / ((1+.025)^36 -1)]
A = 3595.65 <--------amount to be paid per quarter

What is the measure of a base angle of an isosceles triangle if the vertex angle measures 38° and the two congruent sides each m
morpeh [17]
I believe the answer is 11.24 units.

If you are given an isosceles triangle with a vertex angle of 38 degrees, that would tell you that the other angles in the triangle are both 71 degrees.

In this case, I would use ratios of an angle to it's opposite side. Therefore, we would have: (38°)/X = (71°)/(21 units)

Now you can solve for X, algebraically, and the answer I got was 11.24 units.
