How did the attacks of Sept. 11th, 2001 change the world that we all live in today?
Margarita [4]

Answer:

Answer:

Two hijacked planes smashed into the World Trade Center buildings in New York City on September 11, 2001. A third plane collided with the Pentagon, and a fourth airliner was shot down in a Pennsylvania field by brave passengers attempting to stop the terrorists. A large number of people were injured, and a large number of people killed. This was an extraordinary attack that shocked the entire world.

The American people have changed in the way that we do not trust so easily and can sometimes feel fearful now of other cultures. After the terrorist attack on September 11th, America was never the same. For one, air travel completely changed. The al Qaeda hijackers were able to pass airport security, board the plane with no issues, and then force themselves into the cockpit. It was clear that America’s security failed and was not at the level it should have been at. This all changed when the Transportation Security Administration was created and authorized by the United States Congress in November of that year. With the TSA came new regulations that are what we see today. TSA requires photo IDs to pass through the screening area, shoes need to be removed, carry on liquids can only be in three-ounce containers, and one needs to pass through full-body scanners. They have also been trained to detect signs of suspicious behavior. I believe that students should be taught this when they can understand the seriousness of this event that occurred. The event should be taught as it happened. There is no reason to make the event less of what it was. They should talk about the ones who suffered, the ones who gave their lives for others, and the families and friends who lost someone. It is important to teach this event that changed America forever. I think the memorial is very appropriate and it is good to honor and remember those who lost their lives. This is especially important for the ones who lost someone in their lives.

Theravada (also known as Hinayana, the vehicle of the Hearers), Mahayana, and Vajrayana.

Explanation:

Theravada-the more conservative of the two major traditions of Buddhism (the other being Mahayana), and a school of Hinayana Buddhism. It is practiced mainly in Sri Lanka, Burma (Myanmar), Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos.

Mahayana-one of the two major traditions of Buddhism, now practiced in a variety of forms especially in China, Tibet, Japan, and Korea. The tradition emerged around the 1st century AD and is typically concerned with altruistically oriented spiritual practice as embodied in the ideal of the Bodhisattva.

Vajrayana- the Tantric tradition of Buddhism, especially when regarded as distinct from the Mahayana tradition from which it developed.
