first, off, welcome to brainly lol, anyway so basically her Dad Henry XII which means, Henry the eighth, was a Catholic King who wanted a son, he tried to "Make" one, if u know what i mean *wink wink* anyway lol, instead of a son, he got a daughter, but the Pope, said, he could only, have one child, so the King came and made a great speech and was like "You know what, i'm the King, i'm not Catholic anymore, so now the whole country is protestant" so then he tried again to make a child, but another girl came out, which was Mary's sister who was raised as a Catholic, and she preferred it that way, so when her Dad died (he never had any other kids besides the 2 girls) she went and followed her dads footsteps and said, "i don't want to be Protestant, so now everyone is Catholic" but during her reign as queen, she killed lots of people, and put lots of people heads on poles in the street, so the citizens broke through her castle guard, and killed her
