I think the world around us contributes to who we are as a person because we are influenced by everything that goes around the world, the situation and the surrounding that we live in affects who we are as a person and our perception. eg if we are around optimistic and good people our personality traits , all the likes and dislikes and the things that motivate us are somehow similar or inspired by that person
