During this time period, in the mid 17th to late 18th century, workers were working 6 days a week for approximately 12 hours a day. This caused many workers to become overworked; additionally many homes and families resided in cities that were overcrowded, placing many at risk for a variety of the outbreak of diseases and other bacterial infections. It was quite unsanitary really. However, not only that, many countries also used fossil fuels such as coal to create a energy source that became very popular, which additionally polluted the atmosphere with CO2 emissions within the past century. This mostly had an effect upon the US and Europe due to a high population and intense dependability on fossil fuels and a variety of machinery works.

Fun Fact: These two countries were the first to get involved within industrialization even before Great Britain and even China.
